Pura Lempuyang is a Balinese Hindu temple located in the slope of Mount Lempuyang, 600 metres above sea level. The Bali gateway to heaven is quite far from a lot of other typical holiday destinations in Bali. The Tirta Gangga royal water garden is a favourite retreat in the regency of Karangasem, east Bali. Tirta Gangga saw a series of restorations following the destructive hot showers of volcanic ash from the 1963 Mount Agung eruption. The lavish water gardens owned by the royal Karangasem family feature 1.2ha of pools, ponds and fountains surrounded by neatly cut lawns adorned with stepping stones, ornate statues and tropical gardens. Having lunch here is one of the best way to enjoy Tirta Gangga view.

Besakih is known as the Mother Temple of Bali for more than a thousand years and is simply the most important temple for the whole of the island. It's actually more like a complex of temples in one very large compound and its known and loved for is its dramatic location on the southern slopes of Sacred Mount Agung. Besakih is quite unique as it basically consists of more than 80 individual temples. The main one is Pura Penataran Agung
